Father’s Quick Response Saves Toddler Choking in Car

A normal family outing became a frightening ordeal in Tennessee when toddler Lachlan began choking on a toy while in his car seat. Parents Jordan and Rachel Flom immediately recognized the danger.

Upon hearing strange noises from the child and spotting distress through a dashboard camera, they quickly understood the emergency. Rachel unbuckled her seatbelt and hurried to the back.

Jordan braked hard and administered multiple back slaps, freeing a small yellow object from Lachlan’s airway. The incident ended safely, though passerby emergency calls added urgency to the scene.

Jordan took to social media afterward to warn other parents about the risks posed by small toy parts and to encourage vigilance and preparedness in cars.
